Yesterday, at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata, an event was held in commemoration of the 47th anniversary of the AsociaciĆ³n Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, where former Argentine president Cristina Kirchner and the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, coincided. Although the event aimed to celebrate the struggle of the Abuelas, the attention was focused on the tense relationship between Kirchner and Kicillof, who share an internal conflict in the Partido Justicialista (PJ).

During the ceremony, a politically charged atmosphere prevailed, with supporters of Cristina Kirchner openly expressing their support and creating an emotional climate with political slogans. Estela de Carlotto, president of Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, highlighted that there was fervor at the event, despite the lack of dialogue between the two political leaders.

Carlotto noted that despite the evident differences, considerable mutual respect was maintained at the event. However, the lack of interaction between Cristina Kirchner and Axel Kicillof further fueled speculation about the deepening of internal divisions in the PJ.

Estela de Carlotto acted as a sort of intermediary between Kirchner and Kicillof during the meeting, symbolically positioning herself between the two. Despite the governor's presence, the interaction between him and the former president was practically nonexistent, reflecting the distant relationship between them.

In a later interview, Carlotto commented on the evident coldness between the leaders, mentioning that "they seemed like children" due to the perceptible tension in their interaction. Despite expectations for reconciliation or at least a friendly approach, the reunion was marked by a lack of dialogue and distance between Kirchner and Kicillof at a political moment where the unity of the PJ is challenged by internal divisions.
